What do you most enjoy about the job?

We have had the questions of how long? what type? etc. but what do you most enjoy about the job, or what gives you the most satisfaction.

I'll start by saying it's usually the fact I go to a machine that has problems and by the time I've finished its working as close to new as its possible to get.

I guess for me, it's the chance to pull the rabbit out of the hat.

And for me it gets more difficult each day, since I work on a much wider variety of equipment than ever before. Yet here I am continuing to find solutions with less specific model/manufacturer experience, but a wealth of general theory, and no place to pass the buck. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Besides being out on the road & not in an office all day, I really like the troubleshooting part. Whether it's mechanical, networking or Document Management Solutions, it's fun just to figure stuff out.
      Hope that helps !

Guys I am relatively new to Copytechnet.com and just want to say I love this site the wealth of knowledge is unmatched, anywhere I have been. The thing I like most about my job is the relationships you can build. I consider myself a fairly decent tech, and because of that and my honesty, I have built some really great relationships, with customers that I now consider not customers but friends. These friends you go above and beyond for because of the relationship. But like blackcat also said pulling the rabbit out of the hat is a good thing too!!!!

And they're a lot more understanding when you have a good relationship if you run into an issue that takes some time to troubleshoot.

I like not having to be in the office all the time. Every call brings something different. New machines bring new problems. You have to keep learning in order to keep up with the new machines and the new features.

I love being the guy that everyone loves to see show up. YEA! It's it copy guy. Being told "You are the greatest", "we love you", "copy guy rules" makes getting up and going to work real easy. I also love having a job that can't be outsourced to another country... yet.

It's nice to see different people and different places every day. I like to be on the road (sometimes 3-4 hours just driving from cust to cust) and be welcome everywhere i go !!! The troubleshooting is great, too. Every day other problems and other solutions. Every day is not like an other.

The freedom of it, talking to all the hot receptionists and having them show you what the problem with the copier is (even though I know already), company car, phone, laptop, discounts, great pay, being able to run personal errands during the day on the way to the next job, getting respect from important clients, gaining self respect for a job well done, walking out of jobs with a massive sense of satisfaction that the machine is running as good as possible & I have made someone happy.

Its a great gig....... I must admit.
Wouldn't still be doing it 15 years later if it was crap.

Sometimes, if I time it right, I can also get myself some Subway or whatever is available in corporate offices at lunchtime. Alot of places have big trays of food just sitting there for whoever wants it.

Hehehehehe (wazza stuffing the toolkit with sandwiches on the way out)

                            ...The Rock Star Status...

I love being the guy that knows how to fix "That Infernal Machine"

I once had a whole office floor stop and cheer as I walked in the door.
                            It was awesome.

I felt like a rock star
