Now the reason I left that sentence open and that it's posted in "Business Talk" is because I am speaking of this in the workplace. The way you see things being done internally or at a client.
It never ceases to amaze me how much effort goes into supporting a broken system 'because we've always done it that way'.
Especially when fixing it exposes someone's weakness in performance or risks their importance to the system.
When it's a client, and our business makes us the 'man in the middle' (or the simpleton as the story goes), too often the Emperor goes on happily buck @ss naked and we are left shaking our heads.
Let me slaughter a phrase by saying:
'To those about to decry, I salute you'
