Help!
I'm still trying to keep my 6221 alive. It has been a steady work horse but has needed TLC recently. We don't use a copier very much (maybe 50 - 100 pages a day) so I don't really want to invest in a replacement right now.
I have recently changed the teflon heat roller, upper/lower separator fingers and the drum unit. It has been making excellent copies until just lately.
The copies now are coming out with 3 faded white streaks about 1/2" wide across the pages. The streaks are perpendicular to the fuser rollers.
I read a description of the basic copier operation and think that this problem has something to do with the electrical charge either in the drum unit or the corona wire.
I recently replaced the complete drum unit. I have not ever changed the corona wire(s), but clean it often.
Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bill
