Canon Advance C5250 paper size not available

Hi all members

I have weird issue if anyone has come across it on Canon Advance C5250.
all firmware all up date also.

Although all trays are set up correctly A4 Plain 1 (64-81g/m2) ever time customer prints

MFD beebs and message displayed "The appropriate paper size A4, is not available. press Ok than prints.
But this fault occurs also if you try to print PCL Config page or Fonts list from settings/registration, so I ruled out
customer network and print drivers issues and settings.

I have also checked on Canon Simms also, but nothing on this nature fault
paper overide is on in printer settings, no joy
also initialised printer setting under
settings/registration
function settings
printer--- printer settings etc....

Driver, get the newest one from Canon. Had one at a realtors office, every time they sent a print job, would beep and she would have to get up and hit the button for it to print. Had the generic Windows driver. Reloaded URFII driver from Canon, worked great. That was 3-4 months ago.

Have you checked that auto paper select for the printer option tab has all your trays tuned on/enabled?


See attached pic, choose the printer (2nd one down) then highlight all trays, or leave any trays that have headed paper loaded unchecked to avoid printing onto that when the other trays with plain paper run out.

Will check this on Monday most probably someone played around with settings and will update on forum

back to customer

checked all trays for auto paper all on as per pic
connected my laptop locally with update UFRII drivers, on print auto paer select same issue load A4 paper,

if I select tray1 or tray2 on printer preference than prints fine.

also any meter reading, pcl config page etcc same message.

Morning all

checked all setting for auto paper select all on as per pic

connected laptop locally UFRII drivers on auto paper select same issue.

if I select tray 1 or 2 on printer preferences than prints.

anything from copier PCL or meter readings or pcl font page, get same message appropriate paper size A$ not available

Just an update had to initialize all data to factory in data management as per Canon UK

do back up first all customer settings add book network settins etc....

than

management setting
data management

erase all data/settings

took 30min

than I/p all data back

all working now

I have a problem that from UFRII driver I cant print on custom size sheets. I register custom sheets on printer, but when printing cant change custom size from driver.

Where I could try switching these options ON and OFF? Is it on driver or on printer?
