C5235A E602-0001

Hi

I have a C5235A that now comes up with E602-0001 after a power failure. it shows a black screen and after a few minutes this error shows up. I did some reasearch and it seems like the hard drive is damaged. I have SST 4.74 but dont have the firmware for this printer to put onto a new hard drive. Could someone please send me the firmware so I can get my printer back running?

i am a computer tech , i have one of those c5235a with the same issue , will purchase firmware if i have to , can any one assist me ?

Most likely your HDD needs replacing but its worth reloading the firmware if that fails you'll need to replace the HDD & reload the firmware.

Make sure you buy the correct hard drive you cant just fit any HDD.

i just bght the firmware from the proposed link ,with usb inserted , i only see the option to format drive (option 4) , when selected it says, ( formating HDD ALL ERROR the machine seems to be locking all drives they are inserted with a password , so im currently stuck
someone please help

You need to replace the HDD with one approved from Canon.

greetings from the island and .thanks for your reply , for the c5235A initially i changed pcb 1 as the hdmi port for the panel was damaged ( on changing it i on booting up i kept receiving the Error Code E355-004

, i then realized that (pcb 1 serial number fm0-0311-xxx(001) was the original board i took out and not (fm0-0311-xxx). after removing (fm0-0311-xxx) i then proceeded to source fm0-0311-xxx(001) and installed it. this was when i began getting the E602-0001 error and reduced options in download mode (is it possible that there may be an issue with the riser pcb or pcb 2 , thats causing an issue with the copier processing information communicating with the hard drive , because i tried a supposingly working hard drive from the same model , same issue (note. the box checker tool is also no longer accessible as it was b4 i made the switch. . (fm0-0311-xxx) is now also giving me the e602-0001 no longer gives me e355-004 error as the machine dosed not reach that far

SramImg.bin keeps failing whether i am trying to upload or download ,in download mode

after installing the correct pcb 1 , i began getting error code E602-0001 , i noticed there seems to be an error or fail every time i attempt to back up or download data via sst or usb in download mode. could it be that there is an sdram issue on pcb 2 ????? , as ive tested a working hard drive and got the same issue .
also the options in download mode are limited , see pics

to extend the menu, you have to insert a USB key with firmware loaded.
after you will see many options
next step, you have to format the new HDD and load firmware (overwrite)mode

i did that , download moad only chanegd from (HDD) to (USB) with limted options , i get error when i try to to formatt all , and error when i try to back up sdram
