What about the pick up ass'y there cases that the flag sensor arm could be out of place or break and aslo you should tried reseating the connector on the pick up ass'y, there has to be a sensor thats being block or is burnt out. Good luck,

Check to see if the fuser sensor has a piece of paper blocking it . Pull out paper tray and check sensor flag as paper leaves tray, make sure that it isn't out of place. Unplug and replug all connectors at the dc controller. I have had all these cause the problem you've described. Also take out tourque limiters and remove the white plastic spring inside. This causes jams out of the trays. Good Luck.

        OH..>WAIT...I just remembered something.
I've been to customer's machines for the same issue and what happens is that they have a jam...clear part of the jam..reset doors and covers and still the machine is jammed.
Now it'll sound dumb but check inside the door behind the transfer roller assy.
In every instance that I've had this issue there is ALWAYS a sheet of paper sitting there holding down the vertical transfer sensor flag.
Customers and techs miss it because when you open the door and see it sitting there it actually looks like a piece of white backing for the duplex.

          Hello,

I've also had this problem with a 2016 with an internal finisher fitted.

The message this machine give tends to be a catch all / give no details one so you are left casting about for the answers.

If it has an internal finisher fitted check that the delivery sensor of the finisher isn't blocked or gunged up with paper dust. This one sits at the back/middle of the staple / feed unit not just before the tray area (this is the one for the paper full sensor which if I remember rightly is removed when you install the finisher.

Of course if it hasn't one fitted then it's not going to be this so I'll go back to sleep now!!!
