Re: Canon C3530i
I think you're missing the point. Transfer waste is always composite black ... sort of a cross between brown and purple. Even on single color images the transfer belt is used, and the transfer waste will still be composite black. Keep in mind that when doing single color images all the developer units are agitating, all the drums rotating, etc. So if there is a line on the black drum, or the black drum isn't cleaning, you'll still see that black line on the all yellow single color image. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Canon C3530i
Yes Phil im with you on that. I can tell you its not the blk drum. I put in a new 1 and same thing. Replaced the transfer cleaner unit. It has to be coming from the belt. My guess its a worn out belt. This model is nothing more than a desktop in my opinion and the transfer belt looks awful. Its pretty bad when your transfer belt is rated at less than 100k. I run a copy and then pull the belt unit and theres about a 3" portion of blk residue on the far left of belt near cleaner unit. I just didnt think the belt would be shot at only 75k.
what are you with me on? that you don't know LEF or SEF? i would say SEF since you state there is the defect on the left hand side of the belt.
was the cleaner unit BRAND NEW? or rebuild? did you make sure the blade in the cleaner was properly powdered? if a used belt cleaner did you vaccume it out?
are you sure the rollers in the ITB are coming up properly and not dipping or not contaminated .
please tell us they are using genuine OEM supplies!
is the machine clean inside? laser lenses ?
is the mark on the old drum unit?
soo many things you haven't explained.Comment

Re: Canon C3530i
You were being very harsh and making smart remarks. I came on here for help and your talking about Genuine Canon parts. Also, you dont replace the transfer belt cleaning blade on this model. You replace the entire cleaning unit for about 30.00. Theres nothing to vaccum. I told you i replaced the blk drum and got the same result. That should tell you that the old drum was ok. Maybe the belt is badly worn and picking up some toner. In general the new cleaner unit comes primed. In most bigger models i prime the new blade using yellow toner.Comment

Re: Canon C3530i
I have great respect from all my customers and bosses. you need to get off of your high horse. Even Blackcat thinks you made a mistake quoting Him but using my name.
BTW you never answered my question I posed to you LEF or SEF. No wonder I have blocked you a long time ago. Look at your RED CARDS and Reputation points vs Mine.
I have worked on more brands than you have so there is that point also.
Hava great day...Comment
