canon 2016 paper jam/change paper size

hello, i have a problem with Canon ir 2016, paper jam, and appear error change paper size, pickup roller changed, from manual feeder all ok, so sensors may be ok too
single pages go normally

this rings a bell, but a long time since ive seen one, but the registration sensor wears down slightly, you can see it in your pic 2 behind the panel, replace it and it should be good to go again

The 2016 and 2020 both had flaws in the engineering of the feed assembly's. Both assembly's saw several revisions of updates as in maybe revision -060! To top it off, to cure the problem, you needed to replace BOTH updated assembly's at the same time. Or else timing problem and jam problem would result. Its dead Jim! Say goodbye.

At 16 years old, you probably are not going to be able to find much in the way of replacement parts. Your best chance, I think, is to start collecting Canon imageRunner 2016 corpses, in the hopes of collecting enough parts to fix something. Otherwise, yes, it's time to let it die. =^..^=

that's right, too much problems with that special one copier which have just 50.000 copies
usually all that copier need is new drum unit or toner, first case like that

- You need to replace registration roller (its called roller vertical path) overtime it become more plastic and slick than rubber
- When You replacing registration roller, its worth to replace registration sensor black plastic flag just above rollers (the flag rubs off the paper) <- like @MunsterTech said in his post

In the rear part of the machine there are also the magnets that activate the rotation of the rollers axis remain glued thanks to the deteriorated shock absorber bearing, replace it with sponge or rubber of the same thickness.

You need replace registration clutch.
