    Try performing the following steps. Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Device Management > Settings for Service Representative Access Restriction > set to off.

    Good Luck!

        Also check Service Mode Login

        COPIR>OPTION>FNC-SW>SVMD-ENT

        0=Default 2 + 8

        1= 4 + 9

          Your second method is almost correct for this model, except you don't need the 123 key. Also, press reset before you start.
          The only thing it may have been changed to 4+9 instead of 2+8.
          Come to think of it, it may be the 123 key that is messing you up.

            To enter service mode on the Canon iR C3520, press the * (star) key, then press 2 and 8 at the same time, then press the * (star) key again. This is the standard way. If it doesn’t work, the copier might have a different firmware version or a setting changed by the previous company. Try restarting the machine and repeating the steps, or check if the control panel is a newer version that needs a different method.

              If all else fails read the Service Manual!

              If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.
