A jam code would be nice.
Possibly the shifting can be cause by faulty feeding, which can cause jams or they can be shifting because of bad values or paper sizes are not registered. Are you a tech?

im not the tech. we have two 6000 in our office and our technician is not able to solve the problem. jamming is not because of the incorrect feeding or improper size of paper. paper is just curling near the start of the platen glass. He had tried to
to solve the problem but i think he is not able to do that. thats why i think any suggestion from you would work. does the rollers of the adf which move the paper are the reason for the curl?

I believe on that machine there should be 2 white spacers underneath the doc feeder on the front and back of the white plate. If they are missing that may be causing some issues.

Thanks for jogging my aged memory PoonKing... I have seen the one on the front that was broken, I'm sure by careless customers slamming doc feeder down on top of copier. As I recall, the paper would stall out because the white roller was actually riding on the slit glass instead of just above it. This could surely cause paper timing issues as well

              Check the milar for nixs.
Check for sticky post it notes, paper clips, staples you know the stuff people forget is on the paper they are running.
Sometimes that stuff is hard to see.

Check the height for the adf. The platen roller should make contact with the thin strip glass. If there is a slight gap between the glass and adf the paper is not going to feed properly with the platen roller. Stick a sheet between the adf and the thin strip glass on the machine where the platen roller resides on, it should feel tight as you try to move the sheet. If not then there's space the paper could crash against the glass curling or dog earing the lead edge of the paper and cause jams as it passes thru. The platen must make contact with the glass. Check for bent guides as well. After all its just a adf there's not much to expand on.

                Good luck.

Have you checked your jam codes in Service Mode ? that is an important tool that helps you find a solution. Where does the paper jam??
