check the version of PS/PCL in Service Mode>Copier>Display>Version>PS/PCL-
Make sure the bootrom is indeed an "N" type bootrom.
Go to, Service Mode>Copier>Version>Boot-Rom, check to see if "N" is displayed next to the version.

To print out all of the Service Mode settings and firmware versions on the copier:
1. Enter Service Mode by hitting Additional Functions, 2 and 8, then Additional Functions.
2. Select Copier.
3. Press Functions.
4. Hit MISC-P.
5. Select P-PRINT and hit OK.
6. A Copy Service Report will print out containing the Service Mode settings and firmware versions for the copier.

Hello all....

I really could use a little help please

I have just come upon 12 IR2800's and I am in the process of revamping them. The first one I am fixing will be for myself. I just got from ebay a print kit and a fax kit. ok now here is where I am having fun <stop laughing... I am a hp tech.... having fun with the canons> I guess I need a SST version greater then 3.?? to update the firmware so it can print (do I need this for the fax option?) and the firmware. As much as I looked on the internet I could not find the install guides for the fax and print options. I figured out the n rom and slide in the ethernet card. I was able to access the printer through the UI but not able to print (I figured needs F/W upgrade) PLEASE all the help would be appreacreated <Im a good tech that sucks at spelling>

Please i want help, i have Canon IR 2016 & 2016J(In my office), now both showing ''Download standby error'', i was refer in your forum when we use SST, we can solve the problem. So can you send the download link latest version for this model. this your help will be a grade help to me.

Hello Guys,

I have a problem Download Standby with Canon iR1024A. Please if someone have the SST and firmware for it to share it with me mirostz@yahoo.co.uk I will really appreciate it. We are small company and our product is out of warranty. We do not have the money to take it to a service. Please this will really help us.
