    Canon Imagepress C1

I'm working on an IPR C1 and it has some white spots in the halftones. The machine just in from a wholesaler with 98k on it, but I can't be sure parts were not swapped. I isolated it to the transfer belt and pulled the ITB unit. There are spots on the transfer belt that match the spots on the copies. They look like pinholes in the belt, not visable holes but like HV arc to the belt. Is this a common problem on this machine? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? Thanks for any input on this problem.

Its wear and tear. The belt lasts about 70K. This is a high maintenance machine. But it got some good copy qaulity.

Is FL2-2576 the correct part # for the transfer belt? Anyone have the part # for the QA kits and what is in the kits? Thanks.

Yes that is the correct part number for the ITB belt.
          The kit numbers are F02-5811-000, F02-5812-000, F02-5813-020
I am not going to type what each one has in them, but we do not use them because of some the useless parts they have in them.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

              Hi,
if you check the related counters of consumables in SERVICE MODE/COUNTERS, you may have the correct situation of any parts and the % of work.
Don't forget to clear the related counter when you change a part.

The pit marks are from the arching of the transfer roller to the belt./replace the belt & roller/ clean interior
