    IR5000 error code?

I have a customers unit that after they moved and turned on the machine
get error " E000061-0001", the unit turns on and initializes, when attempting to make a copy it takes the paper thru the scanner and then we get the error.
Can anyone help me with the meaning of the error code.

    Thanks
    Walter

Laser shutter fault code. Primary corona is not seated correctly. Reseat the primary corona unit.

Or, Laser shutter fault code. Broken wire on the primary corona unit (does not specify charge or grid wire).

It makes perfect sense really. Th primary charge doesn't even come on until just before the paper reaches the registration roller...
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Walter Chavez: If you didn't understand the answer you'll need more help than I can provide on this forum. Find yourself some local technical assistance.

Everytime you provide answers to these home users, you're taking money out of another tech's pocket. Pretty soon he'll be able to go to Wal-Mart to get the parts (most likely made in China) that you gave him the free advice to get.

Blackcat4866, I appreciate your help, however I did not explain myself properly, what I wanted to find out was if the laser shutter unit could be faulty or if I should check the corona first. Ireseated the corona already and all the wires seem to be there.
I am a tecnician though no an expert on these Canon units.
              Thank you for your help.

Very interesting reply about taking money out of tech's pockets, from a soul who makes money selling copyrighted/private information (ergo: service manuals). Yes I agree that unexperienced users/owners of copiers should not be sticking screwdrivers where there is High Voltage, however, we must be careful before we assume that they are not techs of some level. I do not claim to be an extremely experienced tech myself, and who can be where there are 100's of different brands and models. No one knows everything. However, if I was still working for a small dealer, who found great joy in seeing me sweat over brands/models that I had no experience on in the field, then this forum would be a great lifesaver for me. Just remember that you can learn alot from a rookie. I teach old-timers new tricks alot. Also, there is not alot we or any forum can do to prevent users/owners from posting questions. Just be glad there are no part stores like "Auto-Zone" or "Pep-Boys" for copiers where anyone can buy parts and get free advice (although, HP and other OEM's are close with their Maint. Kits and self maint. programs). I hope these comments have not discouraged anyone from posting. I know it has not hindered me.
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...
Printer + Fax + Copier = Jack Of Many Trades,
                but Master Of None
Color Copier = Not A Color Printer
InkJet MFP = Not A Fax Machine
                B/W Copier = Not A Press
Finisher = Deal Closer (salesman, not accessory)
Copier Tech = Admin's Stress Ball (Scapegoat)

Have we become such snobs that we require credentials before we answer?
