Sorry, I stand corrected. Teckat is right that the MainCont is faulty.

I got myself confuse about link light of network switch AND machine's LED (which iR3570 do not have)

I had two IR 3225's that had print kits installed. However one never mentioned to check the network connection. It turned out that it simply wasn't enabled. I had to go into some mode and just turn it on and magically there it was. It was months ago and I can't remember exactly what I did. It might be that simple.

Yeah. I asked all the same questions, was told I needed a "certificate" and a drop of DNA. Turns out I never got the question if it was turned on. Sorry all mightier than thou.

              Universal Send Kit must be
activated by registering a license key.

Send function enables you to send scanned image or document data to file servers, or send it by e-mail or I-fax.

                Re: ir3570 ethernet connectivity

I have been struggling with this also. A client of mine acquired a used ir3570 for a great price. The previous owner said it was a printer but I think it was only used for Copy and Fax. I have been trying to verify that the printer kit is installed but with not much luck. I checked inside the panel based on a earlier posting from teckat, very good information by the way. The ir3570 has 512 of ram, 20gb hard drive and the boot rom has the following information
                FM2-3117 01
                J1010 - Type A
                version 03.30
I know this doesn't indicate if 'N' or 'C'. I have been unable to get to the screens on the panel that will give me the configuration information. I am able to enter an IP address and ping from a network desktop to the ir3570 and back to the desktop from the ir3570.
When installing the drivers on Windows 7 they install and find the ir3570 with the correct IP address on their own (whether using DHCP or Static doesn't make any difference). I have also tried all three (3) drivers available. All seems OK except no 'test page' prints, eventually gives error message on the Win printer window but no message id. The ir3570 doesn't indicate that it even received the print job. The UI from the desktop connects to the printer and I am able to view various information from that but can't tell if the 'N' or 'C' boot rom is installed. By the way no MEAP software installed on the ir3570 either. I am new to Canon copiers/printers of this size.
Thanks for any help you can give.

                  Re: ir3570 ethernet connectivity

I remember this. Disconnect the cat 5 cable. If you turn it on and it doesn't say "ethernet not connected" or something similar to that in the main display the network might be turned off. I can't recall exactly what I did, but I simply "enabled" network printing in some menu. The stuff was in there, but wasn't enabled. It's in the menu's on the display somewhere.

Verifying that an LMS Based Printer Kit is Installed on an imageRUNNER

                    Perform the following steps
                    :

                    1. Press the [Counter Check] button on the copier control panel.

                    2. Hit the [Device Configuration] button on the LCD screen.

                    3. Scroll down through all of the available pages on this Device Configuration screen. Look for either PS, PCL or UFRII. The methods listed here (ex. PS, PCL, or UFRII) are installed and are available for printing.

                    can u print out a P PRINTS/ & USER PRINT
Printing Out Service Mode Settings and Firmware Versions

                    1. Enter Service Mode by hitting Additional Functions key, then 2 and 8 keys simultaneously, and then Additional Functions key.

                    2. Hit COPIER.
                    3. Select FUNCTION.
                    4. Select MISC-P.
                    5. Select P-PRINT & then USER PRINT

also Check in SERVICE MODE>COPIER>DISPLAY>VERSION that all the firmware is listed

If the machine does not print P PRINTS / check for a variety of reasons below and each should be eliminated until the machine functions normally.

                    AUTO PAPER SELECT:
APS auto paper select settings. The cassette in which the report will print from must be enabled "ON" under Drawer Eligibility. To view or change this setting > Additional Function > Common Settings > Drawer Eligibility for APS/ADS>COPY set to ON.

                    PAPER TYPE:
If the customer has designated their trays as heavy or special paper, then the machine may not output internal reports configuration pages and PPRINTS. Under additional functions, check the settings under Additional Functions>Common Settings>Register Paper Type = PLAIN

Teckat is on the money. I had this same issue with the same model. Main controller had to be replaced. Since the nic card is embedded into the main controller, replacing the main controller will do the fix. If the message Check Network Connection does not disappear when a ethernet cable is connected then its a bad port.

                      Good Luck!

Under counter check, check device configuration, look for something that pertains to a printer kit or UFR.
You must use a UFR printer driver in order to print.

Hmmmm! So what is blocking our data transfer? Ping only verifies configuration and tests the connections if they are proper or not, but doesn't guarantee network com. If I may ask, Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of windows7 on your computer? Generally, Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of windows don't work (correctly) on computers running a 64-bit versions of windows. So make sure you download and install the iR3570 driver appropriate(matching) with the windows OS version running on your computer.
                                - You also talked of your BOOTROM version as 3.03, without the 'N' or 'C' being specified. To eliminate any doubt I would try to replace this with a known working 'N' version.
