Is there an error message, jam message? What exactly does the display say?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did you work on something in the mechine and forget to plug something back in.If there are no jam messages or error codes that come up right away check if the fuser lamp is coming on by cheating the door switch and opening the fuser door . The other thing to check is under *1* in the service mode and see what the fuser temp is if the fuser lamp comes on. It could be dirty or be shot.

The copier doesnt show any error code, not even the jam light.

I was just called upon to work on it and on checking through I discovered the lamp wasnt coming up.Could it be the DC Board or what could be wrong.I checked the lamp its not short.

The only time I have seen any older canons not display an error code or jam indication when they have a problem is when there is a problem with the scanner drive. Pull off the glass and move the scanner to the middle of the scan and then turn it on. The scanner should immediatly return to home position. If it doesnt then there is a problem with the scanner drive and you are actually getting an E-202 code.

The problem could be mechanical (binding, broken drive cable etc) or electronic/electrical (blown motor driver, DCController etc)

The lamp should be a short, as in a complete circuit. If it's open that's one problem for sure.

If the lamp is good (~0.5 ohms) check the optical thermal fuse, & lamp harness.
