    ir 2535 dog earing

    Hi folks
getting dog ears and slight folds, post fuser towards rear of machine. New fuser did nothing. No jams nor alarm codes it just folds. Almost as if the delivery rollers aren't turning fast enough or skipping in relation to the fuser speed.

    Thanks

Have you tried some different paper (a different make of paper)?

Good point. Here in northeast USA dampness in paper can cause that also. If not there's gotta be something post fuser that it's catching on.

Fresh ream or different brands all do it. I initially thought it was something stupid like that. I threw LTR into LTR-R and it seems to only happen on 11 wide.

There doesn't appear to be anything listed as known issues from canon on the technical sites that I have access to. The only thing I noticed is the fixing film has been modified....Might be worth a try? Either that or check the NIP pressure....(although you would think on a new fuser it would be correct?)

Does it dog ear from all trays?

          I found this - F1-T01-N10-10037-01.pdf

Interesting to know how you get on....

Fuser was the first thing I changed. I was told by CCI that the NIP adjustment should not be performed on these units and the fuser should be outright changed. Happens out of any 11 wide tray.

Hmm well that's good to know. It has to be something straight forward then surely? Some sort of obstruction in the paper path or something like that? I assume it happens on every copy?

more or less. What seems to be happening is the delivery rollers are turning at the same speed or slower than the fuser when it's supposed to be turning faster to straighten the paper out of the fuser. Gonna replace the whole frigin delivery assembly from another and stop dicking around with it. Really drives me nuts that the easiest shit is the stuff that takes me the longest to figure out.
