Re: the printer first restarts when I start printing
How long is this "freeze"?
When you send a print job, the first thing the MFP does is start warming up the engine. If the print data has completely arrived by the time the engine is warmed up, it prints immediately. If the machine is still receiving print data when warmup is complete the engine will remain warmed up, but turn off motors in anticipation of receiving the first complete page of print data. In essence, this sounds to me like you've got a slow network connection.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Please attach a sample.
Are you using the exact correct Canon print driver for your OS? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Remove> clean ends & reseat all the PCB's on the main controller
sometimes u get various errors & sometimes u get a digital mess (as shown on t print)
pdf lists error issues/ but I have seen sub boards cause Print Issues
