      Hi,

it could be (FM2-9647-000) PRE-TRANSFER CORONA ASSEMBLY ( you can try to make one photocopy without the pre-transfer corona to check if it improves ).....it could be (FM2-9716-000) TRANSFER/SEPARATE CORONA ASS'Y............

      All the best

Looking at that sample I would keep your focus on the developer unit and it's drive. That the density begins fine and fades only following text/image, to me, looks as if the developer is not turning as fast as it should.

I had the exact same issue on an ir7105. There is a developer speed setting in service mode, not sure if the ir5056 has that setting too. Try to increase speed if you can.

How many copies are on the meter? If over a million I'd replace the developer drive clutch.

Does the developer turn freely? You may have a bearing starting to seize up or all the gears packed with toner.

        Good luck!

Yes I agree, I would look at the dev drive, I'd start by removing & cleaning the dev drive clutch or simply replace it.
