Will the FK-511 work in both the C224 & C224 "E"? I need to buy a few and looking on Ebay there was conflicting info. Some listings had the FK-511 will work in both versions, others had it that they are not interchangeable.

After I posted I investigated a little more looking at both brochures and serv manuals and they list fax kits for both as FK-511, however looking at dealer pricing there are 2 different part #'s for FK-511, C224 A4MF011, C224e A4MF012. Did you try swapping them before?Comment

the 11 and 12 are likely revision numbers, never had an issue especially when we would swap faxes from old model to new.(e)We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

The fax works in both machines, but, the firmware is different. You should be ready to re-load if you get an error. EmujoIf you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.Comment
