Re: D341
I had a C368 that was throwing this CD341 code recently - there was no mention of it in the service manual, service mode or in the KM solutions database. The machine gave an option on the error screen to "Recover Data".
First thing I did was unplug the network cable, Recover Data, reboot via main switch. Then I updated the firmware to the latest version (G00-R9 as of this writing), did the appropriate dip switches then rebooted again. Finally, I plugged in the network cable and had the customer print something. Since they use ID cards to authenticate into the MFP to retrieve print jobs, I had the customer log in and print out everything that she had sent over. No other issues came up *shrug* -

Re: D341
in the end I brought it back to the workshop, plugged it in & couldn't get it to go wrong, tested it for a couple of days, took it back to the customer....haven't heard anything since....WeirdTip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...Comment

Re: D341
hi I wanted to leave a trace of what happened to me
- D341, the printer keeps restarting every time it received a file. The customer tried to turn off and on again several times without success.
Once I got there, a "Recover Data" button or something like that appeared. After a few seconds the 458 asked me to turn it off and on again. The problem was solved in this way.
For security I have updated the firmware to the latest version.Comment

Re: D341
Just an update - Had this problem again today with a C558...reboot machine with network cable unplugged, it came to "Ready to copy" could copy fine, plugged the network cable back it & as soon as pit starts receiving, it went into an error state.....carried out Nonvolatile memory back up (Service Mode - Enhanced Security - Memory Data Backup), machine rebooted itself and started working straight away....Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...Comment

I just had a C368 throw this code following a cleared jam. (I'm guessing that may be a common predicate, though I don't have a jam code because I came late to that party.) Customer shut down to clear the jam because it involved 2 pieces of paper caught in the separation claws between belt and transfer roller, as well as one partway out of the #1 tray. After turning on the main switch, the boot-up ended with message:internal error - system will reboot
and then proceeded to reboot without manual intervention. The reboot seemed to be fine (looked OK), but when she tried to print again, machine presented the same error message - and, as before, proceeded to reboot without manual intervention - and, as before, looked OK - until she tried to print, which again brought the error. The third time that happened, machine threw code CD341. At that point she called for service.
Initially I also thought CD341 was not in service manual, but it's there, under "CD3##" - which covers a series of "Nonvolatile data error". The manual's process for recovery from the error (at K3.24.29) is pretty painless: just follow the prompts to clear the last-job memory, letting the memories resolve automatically. [It does say that, if this does not work, do the memory-backup resolution manually in service mode.]
My guess is this is part of the checking that the MFP system normally does to recover from a jam, in which it tries to return to the job running when the jam occurs, by checking the jam code(s) against the sheets of paper in the system - and, in this case, there was a mismatch which prevented that recovery. At that point you just have to throw away the job and start over.Last edited by John Kaufmann; 04-17-2025, 06:38 PM.Comment

John Kaufmann Interesting theory.
We had it once and nothing helped so when I decided to try eMMC client changed machine and that was not tested as solution.
