After re-installing the HDD the adress book was also back on track.

I'll keep the new MFP board in stock in case this is just a temporary success.

Where does one find the reset tool on KM's tech side website? I can't seem to locate it anywhere? I've looked under special and regular firmware? Any guidance would be appreciated.

        Thanks!

2 Shark fins is usually MMC / SSD requires replacement. Rule out others by trying other memory and disconnecting the HDD. Also ensure network is disconnected. I have heard a couple of rare cases where the DS board in the back for the ADF CCD causes this issue.

It was the DS board when I had a C368 doing the same, even when I told the m/c it no longer had an RADF, it still happened, I had to physically remove the board to stop it happening.

Definitely the ssd. Ask your supplier to organize one. They should have a specific order code to organize a new one. I just had one crap out on me and I was experiencing the same symptoms as you. Hope you get er done! All the best!

I had a c287 (same series) with this issue, it was the emmc board for ours.

Same here with regard to the eMMC board on a Olivetti MF223 / Konica C227. replaced the MFP first and had exactly same symptom. started with the SATA then tried the eMMC.

we have a C2588 not booting up / display is stuck at two bars after you turn on the machine. Already tried HDD and a new eMMC board suggested by KM and it still won't boot but at least you can hear some fans running (before eMMC replacement there was nothing running). I did now order a new MFB board, hoping this will do the trick.

Anyone else had some experiences with non-booting Cxx8 and some intel to share?

                                thx in advance

I have solved several machines with these problems, from series 4 to series 8, the first thing I do is turn on the machine with the yellow reset key, I enter service mode, initialize data, turn off and turn on the machine, it gives me an original error and I go back to load base firmware, and it is solved, try to see if you are lucky

                                thanks
