J-1602 error in Tray 5... any ideas?

Running 13x19 100lb gloss media. About 1000 pcs in there (1/3 full).

The print job stopped abruptly with this code and I haven't been able to get it to clear.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

      Sorry... it's a C6500.

My tray 4 can't handle weight of more than 50 or so pages anymore, but I was able to resume the print job using tray 1 for now. Not sure what is going on with tray 5 / J-1602 error.

100# what? (bond, cover, tag, index, points)

It only makes a huge difference. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

GSM is universal, text bond etc are dumb. too confusing.
            whats the grams/square meter?
plus if the paper is real glossy ive taped quarters to the feed assy for weight. also look into the ribbed rollers and the orange neoprene ones. they grab coated stock way better.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

              148GSM gloss coated.

Good call on the roller upgrade for gloss. I had to get special rollers for my Neopost (orange/brown) to handle very glossy heavy stock.

Where can I get upgraded rollers (ribbed/orange) for the KM6500?

Any idea what to repair for the clicking large capacity tray? I imagine some gear is stripped or motor is worn.

When you say tape quarters to the feed assy... you mean the bar/plate with the top roller that flips up when you load paper?

              Thanks for the suggestions!

Quarters trick is awesome. Just burned through a stack in tray 1 (with 4 quarters) and zero feed/jam errors. Thanks!

Definitely worth the dollar. Pretty sure it's a PF-601.

Thats usually the torque gear going out inside the tray. for the weight.
