You want to print from Android device, right?
AirPrint is for Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
Install latest Konica Minolta Mobile Print app from Google Play and try again.

Well in that brochure there is an asterisk next to "Compatible Konica Minolta Engines*" and at the bottom it says: "* Supported Konica Minolta mobile print functions may vary based on engine ". I would take that to mean that AirPrint doesn't necessarily work with all listed engines.

I found something about the switches here:

changed switch 25 from HEX20 to HEX50 <- change function ver.
switch 168 from HEX06 back to HEX00 <- toggle airprint on and of.


Could this be valid for C454 that i have?

Unfortunately AirPrint is not supported on the non 'e' series even with the 'special' version up firmware.

Any chance you can get me versions GB0-A9 and GB2-K5?
it is to fix a specific scan error.

Notes:
1. NON-4e "Version Up firmware for MIF devices" is required to support SHA2. (bizhub C224/C284/C364/C454/C554/C654/C754)

I just got a C454, and realise the machine is running on a very old firmware version 1. I would like to update that to enable Samba server and Airprint. I am really struggling to get the latest firmware of the printer and instruction about how to install the firmware. can you please help me to get the firmware for me?

I'll send you the firmware i have on Monday.

Actually a few days back I tried to resurrect the printing from android problem.

I installed the latest Konica Minolta Mobile Print from Google Play and surprise, It now prints and scans OK.

So after all the C454 firmware i got about a year ago had the necessary support in it but it most probably needed a Mobile Print update to work with it.

The C454 'non e' model does not support AirPrint even with the version up firmware.

SMB works, just not SMB2 on the non e series.
also IMHO screw airprint, if the copier is on the same wired network as the wireless then as long as your device is using that wireless network you should be able to find and print and scan with the bizhub.
salespeople were selling the UK-xxx wireless kit and i kept returning them to the warehouse for customer credit and look like the hero.

yes but frequently causes other issues. the model is dead and discontinued.
its like having an old car that used leaded gas, you can use unleaded with a bottle of lead substitute additive but will still run with knocks and pings.
all the non e series should be upgraded to a machine current with today's technology IF they cannot perform a function that requires upgraded security protocols.
if customer is broke they can always scan to USB and take it back to their PC and email/store the file that way.
when the inconvenience becomes too much of a PITA its funny how their wallets seem to open up.
when the manufacturer no longer supports a model you shouldn't have to either.
software companies have required upgrades that are paid for, this is the same principal.
