    FS536 Grippers out of sync.

We have a BizHub 808 with FS536 about 1.3 million on the machine. The front (operator side) gripper will get out of time with the rear one, causing severe mis-stacking and J-7221 jams. We have retimed the gripper and it will work fine for a week or so ( around 10k pages) and then get out of sync again. No obstructions that we can find, but seems like it must be hitting something. Any ideas? Photos show correct and out of sync position of grippers

There are individual parts for the eject assy but its a PITA to disassemble/reassemble. Order the assy.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had this happen more than a couple times and eventually concluded customer was taking stapled sets off finisher tray before the job had finished. Put a conspicuous note on finisher to not take copies off tray until job is completely finished and " poof " no more mysterious out of time eject belts. . .so far (8 months)

i have seen this happoen when working on the machine. not just a customer error. solution is to replace the gripper as a unit. has always worked after replacment

It's very similar to the eject unit on the FS534 which did this constantly. There were probably 10 bulletins worth of changes before the FS536, so I was hoping that KM had this figured out. I guess not.

The cycle of bulletins is kind of entertaining. The first bulletin is usually a minor change or a mylar. In the second bulletin there's some more serious change. In the third bulletin, they tell you to ignore bulletins #1 and #2 because they did not fix anything, and to only follow bulletin #3. Etc, etc.

They get one chance with me, first time i retime them if it happens again in a short time I replace the entire eject unit. FS-534. 536 and 537, done them all. Doesn't happen again after that.
