Anyone know when or if Kon Min deemed the 223 end of life? I don't see any 223/283 on the end of life reports? Can someone email me the end of life report if they have it with the 223 on it. It came out in 2010 so think it would be in end of life status already.

Re: BizHub 223 end of life?
Surprised to hear that if it was introduced in 2010. That will be more than 10 yrs supporting a machine! I thought it was like 8 yrs when no longer supported. They are good machines and have treated the customer and me very wellComment

Re: BizHub 223 end of life?
They're based on the bizhub 350 which was basically bulletproof. If you put the two models side-by-each you could hardly tell the difference of the mechanical aspects.
Only 2 months ago I did a full PM on a bizhub 350. All the parts are still available from KM. Now that shows some respect for the basic platform. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

EOL is a meaningless, or least misleading distinction. Parts and support will be available for years and years.Comment

C-2558 and ruined developer. Toner bottle and sub-hopper does not stop turning those kind of things.
Nothing thin weather strip like stickers can fix.
Its just the amount of fun removing that gearbox!WhateverComment

Re: BizHub 223 end of life?
When the noise dampening pads on the solenoid plates start going bad they get sticky. When they stick they start over toning the developer until it codes out. I clean the sticky pads off and add a two layer mylar in it's place. Like allan said, it's just a pain getting it stripped down until the hopper assembly comes out.Comment

Re: BizHub 223 end of life?
Today ordered 8 piece of registration roller bushings and registration clutch, they usually wear out at 500-700k.
I have one piece of this machine at 1.500.000 clicks and just now its showing this problem with bushings,
One of the rare "weak" points on this machines if it could be called weak point at so many printsComment

Re: BizHub 223 end of life?
That's what I was thinking the sticking solenoid would cause overtoning. I just remembering when i was servicing a lot of the Biz 200/250/350 many of them would run light. Seems like we were changing drums & developers around 30-40k halfway through their life. Been awhile but might have been aftermarket drums & OEM developer.Comment

The transfer contact on these caused light printing.
Always tweaked the machines to use less toner for cost saving
