    New Bizhub "i" series

    Hello everyone.

Happy Friday. Was just wondering what you are all thinking about the new Bizhubs from Kon Min? I have a 300i in the shop right now and was very pleasantly surprised with the new design. I was also very impressed with the implementation of access to the web interface as the system menus. That was a long time wish for me. Does anyone have the procedure for fimware updates? Is there a Service Manual yet for these machines released yet? I think it could be a new favourite of mine if everything keeps going as it has been. Hope you are all well and busy making bank!

    Have a great weekend!!

This may sound ridiculous, but what is InfoHub?? Do you mean the Knova portal?

He means European portal, known in USA as mykonicaminolta.com, in Australia may be knova, etc.
At first sight they look decent machines, both Eagle(A3) and Sparrow(A4) models. Fingers crossed, only time will tell if they are successful or not so.

We got a c250i and honestly looks like a glorified c227.

it went the way of the tablet.
            no more hard buttons!
            WTB is 2 parts now.
            classic mode or basic mode.
now menus look like the web page.
            fax install same as 4&8
marketplace link cant be removed. (konica knows and is working on a fix)
it will take a bit of re-braining to adapt to the new layout before i can even think about helping other techs or customers!
i just want to see how they run and the quality they are capable of.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

Surprised to see so many like the new interface. So far, we've found so many bugs that the consensus in my group is they rolled them out before they were ready. And definitely before anybody got any training.

Have a new C250i in the shop at the present time, due out to client next week.
Our SM and I will be doing the web based training as soon as the rest of the machines for the order show up.
Had a sales Rep in the shop today training himself on the operations and features of this new series!!!
Have already downloaded the manuals and started reading through them.
See what they can do with recycled machines now!!!!

I had found the buttons on the back of the panel, but didn't even think about using it for the update. Did it now, worked perfectly. Thanks for the tip.

I think you are right. Seems to be a trend. The higher ups are probably pushing to get these machines pushed out to pull in that sweet sweet profit. I can only speak well of KM so I am in hopes that they don't disappoint with these series. All the best.

Of course. No wonder I haven't heard of InfoHub. I am in Switzerland and here the KonMin branding is called Develop. I have access through the Develop website. Thanks for reminding me of the obvious. I agree with you. They look like decent machines.

Any idea what type of Data Encryption, if any, is found on the SSDs in the iSeries?

What is the brand and model # of SDD found in the new iSeries?

I would have preferred you said glorified c224e lol. Not a big fan of those c227s. Are the screens like the 227? I haven't seen one in person yet.

Not at all. They are more like an iPad or similar tablet screen.
