Biz 224e printing from a mac

Customer is having a problem printing mixed sizes. My IT guy gave it his best shot and couldn't find a solution.

They process mortgages and the software program they use to print mortg packet PDF's always prompts to put paper on bypass or no matching paper size, etc. The trays are showing in driver correctly. There is no other driver to try since it's a Mac. They have been driving to home office around 50 miles away to print on same model, same program but using Windows. They said it works perferctly trays switching from letter to legal.

I went over all the settings "on copier" and identical to home office. Again home office is using a Windows PC and problem is with Mac.

Almost to the point of telling them Mac isn't compatible with this older model if no one here has any ideas.

    Thanks for any help.

      what OS on PC?

      what OS on MAC?

can you change the driver to use other than BYPASS?

what is the file specs for paper supply?

what TYPE of paper is the program calling for?

does the MAC have all proper devises showing installed?

can you print the driver settings pages and upload?

at best at least list the paper types on both..

Macs are waay more happier with a Fiery. in a Mac environment we insist on a fiery the PS driver for standard controller is barely ok.
but as mentioned before check the CUPS system preferences and print to IP not bonjour.
there is also a setting for the bypass priority in admin mode , use driver or copier settings. select print driver.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...

This model is definetly compatible with Mac.
If you updated the driver (PS driver for MacOS from KM site) to the latest version and is still giving you a message check 2 things:
              1. Paper type - when you send letter thick1 job to the machine from mac and Tray1 on machine is setup to letter plain it will show you the screen with message: "Please insert paper in bypass tray Letter thick1".
Settings on the driver and on machine must correspond.

              2. If designated KM driver doesn't work properly (for whatever reason) you can try printing via Airprint.
If Airprint option is not available update FW to latest version and set SW 25 to 60
Enable Airprint in admin mode and OFF/ON the machine.
Add the printer on Mac (you may need to delete PS icon first) and it will automatically show Airprint driver (instead of PS)

Sounds like you have auto tray selection off & auto tray switch disabled.
