C250 Jamming from Tray 2

We have a problem with a machine where it jams from tray 2. Have tried changing the feed assy, same thing happens, works fine for about 50 pages then jams again.

Going to try motors and the board tomorrow, but any suggestions would be most welcome.

Seen this in ours, update out for cassett holder, the ones on the machine that hold the cassett closed. If you have not updated it, this could be it.

You didn't mention how many copies you have on the machine.

It may be the feed roller not lowering issue....
There is a tab on the rear of the cassettes that when pushed in drops the feed rollers. Konicas mod is to stick a small piece of metal to the tab so that it drops the rollers further.

Our mod is to use a 25mm bulldog clip

Over the tab & then fold down the silver arms.

Advantages, can be removed & doesn't fall off!

Try the lower VTC photosensor, the one at the base of the transfer section door. It's hiding in that little square hole in the metal plate. The light tends to weaken with time and cause this sort of periodic problem, around 50 pages between jams sounds about right. For some reason, it's always worst from cassette 2.

Fit the modified lever to the paper feed assy. p/no 4030301103.
