The MFPB... specifically, the battery (yellow wrapping). We have had success soldering a new one on, but less success retaining the meter counts (about 50/50 on that front).

if you take off the covers around the platen glass the scanner serial# is on a sticker on the metal frame..
could be the battery for sure but i just wanted to point out where the scanner serial tag was.We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Thanks for your feedback. The meter count has been reset to 0 and none of the trays are available. I updated it 3 days ago with GDH-M1 which is a base firmware.Comment

If all counts are zero and its asking for serial number input then the battery is dead on the MFPB. Time for a new MFPB or the very least a new battery then you will have to set machine up as it is new. Good luck, just in case you didn't know this machine is obsolete so getting oem parts and supplies are going to be very difficult . It time to upgrade.
If you try to revive this one you will probably need the board reset file after replacing batteryComment
