Yep same here. I still have some twenty five units in the field. Loads of spare parts, and I'm manufacturing the obsolete Parts such as all the seals etc. myself. I can keep all machines running for the coming five years. As long as the customers are not complaining about the age of them, I'm happy. They do exactly what 99% of the customers want and 100% of what I want. So why changing them for the Latest & Greatest, KonicaMinolta crap?.......

I already successfully 3D printed them and we have almost non left only the ones I sold without SLA for cash to worry about. Got some still running.
Running cost if done right puts a smile on my face.Leave a comment:

Hi Allan,
I still have some collars here. BTW we always reuse the old ones.
They last forever and do not crack like the lousy cheap replicas from KM........ 😎
How many pieces of the DS-collar would you need, Allan?

Hans can you still get DS collars for these machines. Parts are becoming super rare around here no more DV units or DR unit, dev or anything else on the tip of africa left... Sounds like paper setting issue to me. Could be faulty paper size detection from slamming and breaking the holder behind the trays.Leave a comment:

Still, there is the issue that this B&W machine has a NVRAM from a color machine, judging from the display in the control panel. See my previous post. Don't know if changing the NVRAM is worth the risk that I nuke the machine.......
I have a donor machine BH-363. Would it be a good idea to put its NVRAM in the problem machine BH423? Any errors to expect? Customer doesn't care about counter or other stored settings.

Go into service mode -> System 2 -> Software Switch Setting. Select Switch No. -> [type in] 71. Hex No. [type in] 02, -> [press] FIX. Exit out. You might want to verify what switch 71 is set for in the 3-series you have that is working correctly and use that number, but I know a HEX of 02 will disable the color selection.

No, no way, too much work swapping the whole machine. Transportation, stairs up and down, configuring scan addresses and so on.
Will go there tomorrow and see if perhaps the suggestion from Synth will work:
hey, look at the auto paper selection, if one of the trays is not highlighted it wont see it for the other orientation when sorting.Leave a comment:

If there is enough of the bizhub363 I would just swap even up, and be done with it. Lowest risk. =^..^=Leave a comment:

Just guessing: Maybe both directions of paper may need to be in the on-board trays, not accessory trays?Leave a comment:

The machine will actually sort paper without a finisher attached, but you have to have the 8 1/2x11 paper in there, in one tray it has to be in the landscape direction, and portrait in the other tray..... My guess is this is your issue/question.Leave a comment:

-Definitely no finisher
-1st tray has portrait, 3d tray has landscape
-Criss-cross sorting is selected
-It worked before but only occasionally.
It seems that someone put in this B&W machine a NVRAM of a color machine.
The control panel display is showing “Color” (Farbe in German) in the first large button and “Schwarz”, (German for black). Comparing with a good functioning B&W machine, the control panel has the first button marked with “Density” and a density scale. See attachments.
