Hey everyone. I've got a C658 that has a J-9903 jam code that won't go away. There is no copy or print job waiting to print. Ethernet cable has been removed. The machine will reset and try to come to ready but eventually it will show the J-9903. Done a complete unplug and reboot. The only thing i haven't done is a data initialization and firmware flash. Never had a J-9903. I've had J-9901. Any recommendations? Thanks.

id back the addy book and settings up to USB and initialize, reinstall movie data, pdf data and see if it goes away. the "controller jam" could be a loose side guide changing the paper size mid print. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though... -
Had this same issue 2 weeks ago. Go into service mode and see if there are color registration errors. If so a drum has either recently been replaced that is defective or has gone bad, for us it was the K drum. we replaced alot of parts to fix this issue just to find out the drum was bad.👍 1Comment

Have you done a System Error Clear? Whenever I have a jam of any kind that just won't clear, I open all the doors and pull out all the trays, cycle power, let it boot up and close one thing at a time. This should help narrow down what's causing the code. Would also flash firmware, even just re-flash the same version if it's already at the current level.👍 1Comment
