Dead C558 but power supply is good

Have a C558 that is dead, no lights or fans running. Was thinking power supply, so took one with me and swapped it out, but that didn't fix it.
Based on voltage readings from the power supply, KM is saying it's a bad MFP board.
Just wanted to see if anyone here has had this same issue and if it could possibly be anything else, before I order an expensive MFP board.

Replacing the MFP board fixed it. Luckily we had a parts machine and were able to use the reset tool on the MFP board and swap it over to our problem machine.
If anyone else runs into this issue, KM had us check for 5V present on CN006 pin6 on the power supply. If 5V is present, replace mfp board.

Did you use the tar file to reset the board? I need to get that software when I'm able. I have the reset file for the 4 series but not the 8.

Thanks for the tip. Funny the only dead machine I've had in a long time was also a C558 and it was the power supply that was bad. But before ordering a board from Hytec I had checked pwr sup and had voltage going in and no 5v & 24v going out.

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...

Just for future reference, that reset tar file for the 8 series is a789be.tar.
