    mfp controller download n.g. 284e+

    Hello,
Here is my problem with an ineo+ 284e copier.
At the start of the week, it lights up with the looping message: “preparing a user box” for hours. unable to print.
I turn it off and on several times, still the same, then it stays on both bars.
I tried to update the firmware again, however I get the download ng message on mfp controller.
I tried to boot by unplugging the hard drive, no improvement.
I also did the NVRAM reset procedure but when restarting the copier remains on the two bars.
The SSD is in version 6.05m.
Do you have any idea what the problem is?
    Thank you for your help

have you entered the machine/type after the reset?
First four digits of the serial number A61F A61G A61H
    [Machine] 4 4 4
    [Type] 1 2 3
    5. Touch [OK],
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

      Oh man reset tool, really?
First you must check your backup battery voltage.
If battery is bad and you use reset tool then machine may have a lot of wonderful and unexpected issues.
Before doing anything else check battery and replace it if flat.

Did you unset the HDD in service mode first?

I do not have access to service mode because the copier does not start, it remains on the two bars

It's probably time to just put a new SSD in in it.

However, it is possible to get more of an error out of it. If you hold down the power button while turning the main power switch on, depending on the color of the power light, the contents of the screen, and the blue lights on the front there is a chart in a Konica document somewhere that describes what that error works out to.

when pressing the power button, it lights up purple then it turns blue and the four blue dots are on.

if I change the SSD I have to contact km? I can't put another SSD from another machine? Do you need programming?

Try in firmware update screen right hand side open keypad. From there you can try to enter in service mode and disable HDD or copy data from HDD to EMMC board or try to Logical format of HDD

It is SSD or HDD as per my knowledge 284e series have HDD

Do you have 2 bars or 4 on the screen at that time?

If you have 2 bars, and blue lamp is on, it says DIMM failure. Since you had the purple power light it's likely you have 2 RAM DIMMs installed. Try them one by one in the primary slot. According to this one or both may be bad.

If you have 4 bars it says you have an MFPB failure but also suggest this could be memory related.

Given this additional information I may want to take back my "put an SSD in it" recommendation.
