bizhub C224e J-3205 after MFP board replacement

    Hello!

    Just got a strange one.
I had to replace a MFP board after a lihtning stike (dead network). Machine was working well for months on USB. Customer decided to buy used board (cleaned).
Everything went well, replacement, firmware update and data recovery. After restart machine showed J32-05; paper exit sensor activated (1) on State confirmation --> Sensor check.

I will of course try to replace the sensor today , but somehow I doubt that it suddenly stopped working.

Has anyone had something similar before? Any paper jam error after replacing MFP board?

A simple fix would be to swap that sensor with a less important one, that will soon tell you.

However after a lightning strike you may have more issues.

Thank you for your reply. I will replace sensor it with a new one today.
Only ethernet port was bad on old board. Machine worked properly for months (printing via USB). Paper jam occurred immediately after MFP board replacement (nothing printed)
The point is that machine was fully functional (except ethernet port) before replacement.

      I'll keep you posted.

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...

the obvious and also stupid question - are the connectors in the correct place on the board. The other thing you may have, a pinched wire, in the wiring loom. Had one of these a couple of years ago, everytime I removed and refitted the paper feed unit, it would throw a J20-01, traced it to a pinched/broken cable in the main wiring loom, I had to splice a cable into the wiring . The cable tie was too tight
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

I replaced it with the new paper exit sensor - problem solved.

Q: What are the odds that a sensor stop working just after MFP board replacement?

A: Obviously, odds are the same as at any other moment in time.

It can happen, static blew the sensor while you were working on the device.
