Swapping Biz "8" series MFP boards??

Has anyone swapped MFP boards between "8" series with success? I have a C258 and want to swap MFP from a C308.Are the eMMC & 2 eproms transferred from original board to donor board? Thanks

If they are the same board (look the same) a couple small chips at the bottom edge. and wipe it of course. set machine type and flash it.

same part number. go for it.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

Ok so here is update. Swapped out the boards. Moved over the 2 small chips & eMMC to donor board. Changed machine type. First it came up with "invalid external memory" but after doing logical format on HDD it booted up and is now working good! Thanks again for all the help.

All counters good same as they were before the swap. Only 5k on this off lease machine. The low meter makes me think this machine sat for a while with a bad MFP.
I thought the reason why you move the the eMMC and 2 eproms from original MFP to donor was to carry over all the machine info, i.e meter counts, serial #'s, consumables, mac address, etc. Which it did move everything over in my case.
