    C450i image quality issue

    PXL_20241104_124140147~2.jpg
    Greetings everyone,

    This morning we've had a C450i with some strange watermark like effects (black only) appear on the page.
    Machine has done around 300k and have replaced the black drum to see if it cures this problem.
    Unfortunately it hasn't made a difference. From the samples I have, the marks appear to be the same distanced apart as a drum circumference.
    Has anyone had one like this?

    Have a great day.

    I know you posted black only but did you pull transfer belt out and look to see if any marks on it. If transfer belt was bad it should show on all colors but I would still look at belt.

      @copyman -

      Yes they removed the transfer belt assembly and inspected it. It does look a bit like when people try cleaning the belt leaving a residue, but not the case here.
      I did notice on the left margin directly inline with the marks there is an indentation.

        What is the distance - 94mm?

            so that sample is letter\a4 size?
            We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

              Have you tried with another developer unit? This problem can occur when the developer unit is near the end or if replacement toners are used. I think replacing the developer unit will be the solution.
