    Strange Scan Mode

    Hello everyone.

I have an odd problem. When my customer enters the scan/fax mode they get this screen. Hitting exit returns them to the regular scan/fax mode. I've tried searching the service manual for "Scan2Workstation" with no results. I've also tried Googling it. My only guess is somebody installed an app onto the copier. Has anyone seen this before and know what it is?

Edit, sorry forgot the model. It's a Bizhub 360i.

That is a weird one indeed. It does look like there is an app running from the "Application Extended Setting" message you can see at the top.

Have you checked under Web Connection - [Network] - [OpenAPI Setting] - [Specified Application Start Setting] to see if there are any apps tied to the launch of the scan/fax function?

I have not. I don't have remote access to the machine and I don't have a contact from their org onsite at the moment. That is a good idea, I will check that once I have access to the copier.

100% this is third party App installed.

id touch application, de-select whatever is highlighted and save as the default.
may be a selection to use default.

Or you might have to do an Initialization, which should get rid of whatever the last end user (or IT person) programmed in it?

you will have to reactivate the HDD and load movie data if you initialize it.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to update this thread with the final resolution.

I was unable to find a setting at "Web Connection - [Network] - [OpenAPI Setting] - [Specified Application Start Setting]" that had any influence on the copier's behavior.

However, I did find a table of apps at "Utility -> Administrator -> Store Address -> Application Registration". Deleted the only registered app and the weird screen went away.
