    BH-C-284e, no Web Connection.

    BH-C-284e, no Web Connection.
This machine was working perfectly and has only 23 k on the clock. Before it went to a customer, I installed the Latest&Greatest firmware to be sure.
(to be sure of WHAT.......? sigh......).

With this firmware A5C10Y0-F000-GDU-M1(00) problems started. I can ping the machine and print, but the Web Connection Interface cannot be called up. It shows an empty, white browser page. The same when I go back to older firmware like A5C10Y0-F000-GDS-M1 and A5C10Y0-F000-G20-M1. Ping and printing OK, but a white page instead of the Web Interface from Page connection. The proper sleep mode etc. settings are in place.

    Any help please?

    Hans

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

I've seen where the copier/printer you install uses the same IP as the old one and clearing the cache on the computer allows the computer to connect to the new copier/printer

          “SOLVED”

          Installed before:
          A5C10Y0-F000-GDS-M1(00)
          A5C10Y0-F000-G20-M1
          A5C10Y0-F000-GDU-M1(00)
but problem stayed. Machine could print and scan but a white page instead of the Web Interface from Page connection.
At the same time, I noticed that the machine did not enter the sleep mode regardless of the settings.

Now I installed A5C10Y0-F000-GDT-M1(00) just for giggles, and before I made again an Initialization, same as I did before.
However, but now also with an unsetting of the hard drive and machine became normal again.
Web Interface came up, and all functions are there.

Doesn't make sense to me at all, but for the moment I'm happy. More or less.........

The firmware is setting the HDD to "not installed". I have seen this a few times before and if I cant get to the webpage, I always make sure the machine didn't kill its own HDD.
