    C3350i toner bottle drive

How do you chaps/chapesses replace the toner drive "clutch" on the C3350i without taking the toner drive supply unit out. I've got a few that are now not supplying toner, and it's a PIA to take out the toner supply unit, as a lot of these devices are shoe horned into small spaces.

    Do you have C-2551 C-2553 C-2555 C-2557 codes(Low toner concentration)?

Yes, and I'm having to replace the spring in the "Clutch" more often - but it's a pain, if you don't take out the toner drive assy, but due to the location of some of the machines, it's not easy to take that unit out. You need to remove, the back cover, the side cover and exit covers to do it

Are you sure its the toner supply? We have quite a few of those out in the field and its always beed the IU itself. As long as you do the usual shaking and agitation they run ok.

I agree we have never had to replace toner supply and very important to shake rattle & roll
There is a bulletin about stirring the image units.

Another thing I just ran into with 2 different C3350i "OEM" toners is the seal tape didn't pull off hole so no toner was adding. Weird on both machines the orange seal tape pulled out but there was a white piece still covering the toner hole.

Yes, it's definitely been the toner supply, I've replaced IUs, toners, only for the error to return in a short time - toner percentage is either very low, or at 0, but as soon as I replace the spring in the "clutch" the device starts adding toner again, and goes back up to around 6%. 1st thing I do now, before replacing the IU/toner - mark the toner drive with a black felt tip, if it doesn't move, I replace the spring.

I'm interested in part number, do you mean A93E400900/Coupling(one way) or just the spring behind the screw - A93E401100/Spring ?

It's the spring, it's a nightmare to fit, the parts manual looks wrong, the washer p/no A93E401700 sits on the outside of the spring, so the screw goes through it, and holds the spring in place. The spring sits inside the coupling, you have to fit it separately. if you've got a scrap device, I'd take it apart and look at it. There's also a bulletin
                  PSEU_BT2411420EN
that says the screw that holds all that together can be loose. Which I haven't had yet.

Maybe related, but we had one of these with C2553 errors that was missing a gear from the M toner drive from the factory(!)

I have a problem with a TA 2553ci . Everything goes well in simplex printing, but duplex printing finishes in a jam . I have cleaned all rolls, How can I diagnose if a sensor is defectctive or motor. I don't have any error number and would like to localize the problem. I have access to maintenance mode.
                      Thank you in advance.

hey, wrong forum, thats Kyocera not Konica but there are all sorts of sensor checks and whatnot in maint mode.
push on the door during the turnover, cant tell ya how many complete doors ive replaced on the xxx1 and xxx2 for an actuator in the door that sucks to get to.
                        what is the jam code?
post all this in the kyocera forum, you will likely get more precise help there.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                        The medication helps though...
