I'm having a frequent jam (and constant paper buckling noise) that is really difficult to describe. When a stack of paper is being ejected to the exit tray, the first page of the next set is held back (buffering) so as not to interfere with the ejecting paper. This page is supposed to exit to the alignment section along with the second page of that set. This second page is where the problem occurs. The paper is buckling in the middle, and sometimes jamming as it folds over on itself in the middle. The leading edge is undamaged. When it jams, the code is J-7217, which appears to actually be referring to the next page behind the jam.
It appears that the receiving rolls aren't turning on at the right time (or at all in the case of a jam) but the finisher entrance rolls are continuing to push the paper forward. After the jam, I'm able to manually turn the rolls and the paper moves fine. I've already replaced the finisher control board, with no change. Any idea what this could be?
