Problems going back to OEM toner on i-series A3 machines after using compatible?

Back in the day when OEM toner was in short supply, we set up a bunch of machines with compatible toners from Katun and Copylite. Now, when trying to go back to the OEM toner, there have been certain issues such as lines on the copies necessitating replacing the drum, and also banding on the back sides of the copies. I'm pretty sure lots of techs have faced this problem. Any ideas on transitioning back to OEM while minimizing these issues? Right now we have to keep track of which kind of toner each machine is using and it's a real pain.

all i can think of is replace the dv units under warranty, vacuum out the sub hopper and start fresh with oem toner and oem dv unit.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Nope, it's not transitioning back to OEM. I was thinking the same until I saw it happening to machines that were all OEM only toner. Turns out it was a problem with the curing process, specifically time in curing at the factory. Not sure how or why but that is what my DSM told me.

Thanks for the reply! Tell me more! The last one I just had this happen to I was sure was using OEM for at least a year. Would just swapping out the toner and running some solid patterns resolve the issue? I had a C360i that was putting out all streaky cyan copies. I thought it was the transitioning problem so I ran about 200 solid patterns but the problem never improved. I then swapped out the OEM toner for Katun and after running about 50 solid patterns the problem was gone. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Yeah, sometimes you can get it to clear. If you pull the drum you'll actually see the lines on the charge roller. More times than not i end up replacing the drum.

Hopefully, the toner effected will be out of circulation soon.

Have you also seen the banding on the BACK side of the copies? This has nothing to do with the drum and replacing the drum won't fix it.

Had this a few times, when going from comp to oem. Quite a few times I just replaced a cleaning blade on the drum unit and that fixed the lines.
aliexpress helped out with the blades

                Hello,

I had exactly the same experience. I've had four customers call me saying that the background and streaks appeared right after changing the toner cartridges.
This is a very expensive problem, and we don't have a good warranty process like you do in America.

What is DSM? Can you give me more information about it? I'd like to claim.

Got a customer reporting this issue today, apparently it's appeared after changing the toner, we only use OEM. If they do more than one print, it's on the rear lead edge on the reverse of the 2nd and subsequent prints, even though they're only printing single sided. nothing is over life. When the transfer belt is removed, you can just about see it on it. As if the image is put on the belt, then transferred on to the 2nd transfer roller, which then transfers it to the back of the paper.

Konicaminolta has dsm which is district service manager. They also handle independent companies. They show up when problem machines need more attention they can send info to higher ups or get with engineer's to resolve a problem. Also evaluate branches for pro tech.

Just an update, I went to the device a couple of days ago, and confirmed it was happening, I went into "level history 1" TCR K was at 3.65%, I manually added toner, and it went down to 2.5%. Advised the customer I'll pop back today, and take apart the toner hopper .I went back this morning, and In the meantime, the customer had done loads of prints, the TCR K level was now up 6.09% and the prints were perfect. Next time they have a low toner condition, I'll take apart the hopper and check it.
