KM 8 series Manually Install firmware

    Hi Experts,

I want to install firmware in 8 series models using the ISW > Download firmware option. Not using the FTP, HTTP, or Proxy. I was checking there is an option "download firmware". Is there any possibility if I prepare USB with firmware in it and plug then go to service mode > ISW> Download firmware?

    Thanks in advance

You want the USB plug into the machine? Then you can update it without ISW.
Extract the FW00xx-folder to rhe root of the USB. Turn off machine. Plugin the USB. Turn onmachine while pressing the STOP-Key. A black dot appears in one of the upper corners.
    Firmware update screen is dispalyed.

ISW can only download from a server (ftp, http)

      Thank you for kind words.

I am familiar with the firmware update procedure via USB. The problem is the firmware is not upgrading from USB. So I was thinking to use another method. If you can help me by guiding how to update using ISW.

its probably your USB. konicas can be really picky.
or the front usb is plugged into the wrong slot on the MFPB.
4 gb drives work best if you have one.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...

          Happen to me sometimes too.

It always works when i clean the USB drive .

          On Windows use Diskpart:
          1. Open comandline (Win+R and input 'cmd')
          2. input 'diskpart'
          3. input 'list disk'
          4. remmber the correct number for your usb drive
          5. input 'select disk x'. X is the number of your drive in the step before
          6. input 'clean'
          7. input 'create primary'. you could extend it with size=2048 (ex. 'create primary size=2048') when you have a realy big drive. KM has had problems with drives bigger then 4GB
          8. input 'select partition 1'
          9. input 'format fs=fat32 quick'
          10. input 'assign'
          11. after that you could copy the FW to the drive again
          12. in 99% of cases the machine would now except the FW. in the other 1%, either the FW is defect (try to download it again) or the machine has some serious problem

I've had good luck with these:

And they have an LED that blinks when it's being read, so I KNOW they're processing!

Actually the problem is "Sata controller firmware " the recovery firmware, Machine is not taking. USB is 8GB. For other firmware it works fine but this one takes a lot of time and no output. It stays at the startup pillars. Error is C-D011

If you get error C-D011, you need to format the HDD.

Which 8-series machine is the problem machine?

Found this technical information, but it's only for C258/C308/C368.

It should be " Create Partition Primary". Ch7VimVMXtyKHaLmQrNq47-970-80.png

Partition created successfully. Now usb is showing 2 GB capacity. But but but reset tool, any firmware, or Sata Firmware not taking at all. I have 2 USBs , made them 2GB but still no success
