    C360i

Stuck on 2 codes on a C360i where it would lock up completely

first it was C40C5: CTL PF transmission timeout 2

So I changed the CPU board. same error so i changed the sub board (MFPB)

At first I thought it was ok but few days later got reports of issues again.

Needs the SSD update as its on G01-01 but it gets to screen to update but no start button to begin and leaving it untouched for 15 mins doesn't start it neither.

I know the symptoms of the old SSD firmware aren't the same as im experiencing but the fact it wont take update makes me think that there is a fault and that it may be causing the lockups im seeing.

Should I order a replacement storage board AA2JM72702

I only update SSD firmware on this series when Storage controller firmware is AA2J0Y0-6501-G01-07.
Easy to check via web interface or in CE mode. Never attempted on other types of SSD as it's not for them.

Alas they did it right but I don't bother waiting for it while quick check reveals if SSD update is worth.

it was on G01-02 which is older than G01-07 so i thought it needed it. maybe not.

yeah it takes normal firmware ok

Just locks up after a print job and even though print job finishes the screen freezes

also only way i can get into service mode in via trouble reset, if i go the normal way it locks up the second i click in after typing CE code

did you run the self diagnostic mode? I've seen this before and it turned out to be the base board.

Have you tried reformatting the hdd. Fixes a lot of issues. It may not be bad.

I don't think it has a HDD from memory

Its attached to the cpu also known as memory. Everone gives it a different name. Acts as a hdd
