KM-C450i Stuck on Recover Data screen.

Is there any way to get into Service mode from a USB stick???
I already tried using the Trouble Reset interface, but it is stuck too.

Have you unplugged network/phone cables and powered down/unplugged for a few minutes and then powered back up with NO other cables connected yet? Maybe corrupt job or tel line problem.....just sayin'.

Does the device accept a firmware update ?

I's start by trying to update.

Agree with copier tech on this. If firmware doesn't work you will have a whole other problem on your hands.

It's a new machine. Not connected to the network yet.

Yes, I have installed several F.W. versions, Mass-Production programs G00-RE, G00-RF, and Special Program GG3-RE, but they did not help.

Good to know it takes firmware. Have you run the boot up diagnostic firmware for the iSeries yet? Also what does stuck exactly mean?

Now it's time to claim warranty.

I just put a CPUB in a C451i that would only 50% boot or go into a C-D313 with recover data, but it would not successfully recover. Strangely it managed to boot once so I grabbed the MML on USB and printed it as well. When I tried firmware it just said Firmware Error, from both the keyboard port and the port in back. It had lots of CPUB Abort Codes and If I left it on it would reboot about every 3 minutes.

Rebooting would be most likely CPU board. Not booting Storage board.
