    IC-420 on a Bizhub I series

I have had a few of these Fiery controllers that won't assign the copier an IP address The config page from the Fiery shows an "engine network ID". How do I get an IP address to show up????

It should assign one IP address higher than the fiery . ex. if fiery is 192.168.1.2 the machine should have 192.168.1.3 . If the fiery is setup to auto assign the 2nd page of the Fiery config page should have the machine IP . It may be that the address that the Fiery is trying to assign to the copier is already taken.

The second page, like I said, says Engine Network ID,and then has a long string of numbers, not the IP address. I tried to ping 2 numbers up and 2 numbers down from the Fiery IP before I found out it was 5 numbers lower. This has happened on more than 1 since the 420 came out. I am trying to ascertain as to why and how to fix the issue.

Sounds like ip4 is off and ip6 is the default.
Make sure the fiery is set to assign engine ip and make sure the copier is set to dhcp.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...
