[Jamming] bizhub c253 unreliable paper feed from tray

    Hello,
the paper pickup (from tray) in my C253 doesn't work reliably anymore, there are paper jams every once in a while (sometimes 100 pages without issue, sometimes just 5). The model has 4 drawers, some seem to be worse than others (e.g. the first and the 4th one), but that may be a coincidence. The jam occurs somewhere near the paper feed section of the respective tray used (marked in red in the picture below). I've looked into various manuals and attached some related pictures showing the parts in more detail.

Are there any common issues for that model? Do you have any recommendations which parts to check/clean/replace? (and how to do that?)

Thank you very much for any advice!

Replace the feed and sep rollers. They are most likely old and worn

Dont forget to clean one way paper feed clutches with alcohol, scuff up shaft where pin bearings will contact shaft. This was very important on this model when replacing PF & Sep rollers.

Most likely worn feed rollers. Part umbers you need are 1 of A5C1562200 2 of A00J563600

Time to start looking at upgrading this old dinosaur.

Lol, still have 2 working C253's in my shop plus a lot of parts for them. Last time used they made a great print. Originally traded in and kept for parts but they got pushed to back over the years. I've scrapped machines several times over the years but the C253's are so heavy I didn't feel like lifting them
If anyone needs anything PM me. These will go to scrap yard around end of the year. Come pick them up in NJ. FREE!

Same to me, still one with the customer as a rental (YES!) and one in store with only 40k or so. Nobody uses it nor will never use it, but I don't have the nerve to get rid of the machine. Would feel like killing a dear good old horse....
