Even as I speak, know I can't enter into service mode... because Stop 00, stop 01 can enter into service mode....

i would suggest booting with a firmware stick and select machine/type and check/enter the appropriate digits if "FF" is displayed.
if there are correct digits there.
the scanner serial# is on a label under one of the scanner covers should you need to enter it.
let me know if you verified that because it seems the machine has had a lobotomy and that info gets boinc'd too.
      is the meter wiped?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

        Replace battery on main board.

              Try this procedure.

Here is some update on my case. First of all many thanks to Gergo. Secondly Yes it is not needed to order any spare parts from KM, just 3 euro aftermarket battery 3V 2477. It is obviously that KM battery with 57 marking are bad eggs.

              1. Change the battery.
              2. Use reset tool for MFP board 3 times successively. (Next time I'll try only once ...)
              3. Update firmware to the latest one - GDL. Check beforehand machine/type. In my case they were ok. GHV not needed.
              4. Go to service mode and check SW 10 - it was generic machine in my case. Check also Marketing area in System 1 - it was US not EU...
              5. Set serial numbers in service mode - printer, scanner and for any option.
              6. Activate HDD and download movie data.
              7. Do initial installation because it is new machine...
              8. Do any user setups - network, scan destinations etc.

Concerning #3 - GHV in my opinion must give a chance to change battery without settings lost. So #4-8 not needed. Need a proof.
Concerning #7 - Stop-1-1-4-4-C the year is 2007. Could not made it 2020. In Admin mode it is possible to set it right.

Machine has full functionality so far.

Hope my procedure is most complete and usefull.

When you update firmware, the difference between firmware on mfp and latest firmware should not be to big. We use Firmware G20-M1 first (when the firmware on mfp is lower than that) and then the latest firmware. Once we forgot it we had the TPM-Error.

if I understand you well, I have to install G20-M1 first, after that then I install the latest firmware.

there really is no need to go past g20 m1 unless there are specific issues to address or an accessory that requires it.
or you just have a compulsive need to have the latest installed because its the latest

i dont remember if the GDB SMB enhancements below went into g20M1?
can anyone confirm for my own knowledge?

                    Re: Minolta firmware C284-284 compatibility

GDB-M1 firmware with bit sw 219 will lock in smb 2.0.
hex 04 will lock in smb 2.0 as the default.
