BizHub C224e scan to SMB2 network share

I'm having a problem scanning to a network share. As it seems the machine doesn't support SMB2 or newer when connecting to network shares?

Do I need a firmware upgrade or any other setting turned on to allow printer SMB2 use with scanning? The only client settings I see for authentication are NTLMv1/v2 and Kerberos. Nothing about SMB1/2/3 with client settings only as server, which doesn't solve anything. Scanner is still unable to send scanned documents to a network share

SMB Support for the following models.

• bizhub 4/4e series machines support up to SMB 2.0 for printing and scanning.

There is newer F/W that came out 4/22. GDT-M1

lol thats weird. My Dealer portal only shows GDR-M1 and GDS-M1 03/2022. Is this special firmware you are talking about or is my dealer portal bugged

Our dealer said the same but no it doesn't. I can't find it in the menus and it will not scan to network folder which has SMB1 disabled. Scans to folder with SMB1 disabled are failing.

What error do you get when scanning smb2

Did u turn smb1 on at pc and then scanning worked?

If you are having trouble getting a current firmware, you can always use an ftp program to scan to the network share.

I can confirm that your current firmware will works for SMB 2.0

but you will need to change it to function 7 in order for the SMB 2.0 to work. u may google it, there are some youtube out there.

If function version 7 is the key to your issue, change switch 25 to hex 60 which will enable function version 7.

here ya go, i always just change bit sw 219 to lock in smb2.0 and ntlm to 1/2 or 2
