    FS-532 exit problem

Hi everyone. I have a FS-532 on a bizhub press 1052 recently bought by a client. Everything seemed to work fine until the customer complained about the finisher not stacking/exiting the paper corectly. What it does:
The exit guides that align the exited paper are working fine to a point. If a paper is curled or if it is slightly late in coming down on the stack the exit tray lowers more than it should, thus making the exit guides kick air and not paper, or, more often, one of the guides kicks the paper ot of the stack. It's a big problem for him because he prints mainly books
What I tried: reposition the IR sensors (the ones that detect the height of paper stack or the upper tray position). Several adjustements to minimize the curling of the paper (right now the paper exits almost perfectly straight). But the problem persists (less than before, when it happen after 4-5 sheets, now it worked ok for 300+ sheets, then did the paper scramble thing). After missaligning one sheet, it goes downhill fast. I could try and perfectly align the exit tray (since the guide looks a hair lower on one side and it kicks the paper out of the stack), but sometimes it just lowers so much it doesn't even touch the paper.
I cleaned every roller, most axis and bushings. Still not solved the problem.
    Anyone had this issue? Thanks

    Re: FS-532 exit problem

I've seen this. The static eliminators will wear down, making poor contact with the paper. As a result, the staticy paper clings to the sheet below it, and won't align with the side guides.

There are three pieces to the static eliminators, and when I replace them I position them ~2mm lower on the center piece.

The first photo is the worn static eliminators:

    Static Eliminators Before.JPG

The second photo is the new & repositioned static eliminators:

    Static Eliminators After.jpg

And yes you have to do some disassembly to get to them. =^..^=

EDIT: I took a short movie of it happening ... it's too big to attach here (>1MB), but will attach to an email if you like.

    From the database:
When offset sorting on FS-532 the paper stacks unevenly. The paper exit alignment plates miss the stack, and the grippers do not contact the top of the stack because the elevator tray lowers only. Correct elevator tray behavior is down, up, down, up, then about 10 pages ejected, repeat. Anti-static brushes do not touch the top of the page to discharge the ejected paper. Replace anti-static brushes ([2] A4F3 7179 00, [1] A4F3 7180 00). Install the center brush ~2mm lower than the embossed marks.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks alot. Was thinking of that because before it goes bananas the sheet looks like it's hovering for a second, but yeah, there is some dismantling to reach them. I'll order a couple of those brushes. Once again, thanks.

Try replacing the Exit sponge rollers sets. There are 2 rollers per set and 2 different size rollers... Also check the Decurl[If available] settings in the Paper settings to see if that makes a difference..

I did set that. Also lowered the fusing temperature by 10 degrees and it is better, but still have issues

Konica eliminated those sponge rollers for the FS-532. Those things were notorious and expensive too!!

After waiting almost 10 days for KM to deliver the brushes, yesterday I finally got to the client and install them. And it works perfectly.
Thank you all for advices and a big thank you to @blackcat4866. It was the electrostatic brushes.
