Looking for Konika Minolta UK-221 Wireless Option (ACDMWY2)

    Hello,

I'm wanting to get a wireless option for my personal C3320i unit that I have at my home. I understand the UK-221 option is what I need. I wanted to see if anyone had a spare laying around they might be willing to sell me at a decent price. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

I'm pretty sure the C3320i comes with wifi connectivity out of the box.

Maybe another model does, but I can confirm that mine did not have this. The Network I/F only shows up if you go into maintenance mode and set the value for a 2nd network card. I went and did this thinking it was installed by default, but then the unit threw a code when it couldn't find it. I was able to go back in and quickly unset it before it auto-restarted. I need to figure out how to stop that, but that's for another day.

I decided to just open the right side of the unit up and I was able to confirm there was no wireless card installed, so I do indeed need to snag the UK-221 kit.

Just an FYI, the config book indicates that you also need an Expansion Kit (USB interface kit).

"[UK-221 WLAN] Provides wireless connection for printing, scanning and authentication. Can be
configured to serve as access point. Requires EK-P08 or EK-P09 USB Interface Kit."

Looks like the EK-P09 includes Bluetooth capabilities(?), so you probably only need the EK-P08

            Such an unneeded expense.
Just get the network over power boxes a Hella cheaper and a 2 minute setup as opposed to the nightmare UK kits are.Amazon.com: TP-Link AV600 Powerline Ethernet Adapter - Plug&Play, Power Saving, Nano Powerline Adapter, Expand Home Network with Stable Connections (TL-PA4010 KIT) : Electronics
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

Must be the c3350i that comes with wireless. 3320i may not

I appreciate your reply first and foremost. The powerline stuff is really cool tech. I'm running a WiFi to Ethernet Bridge as a short-term solution, but ideally would like to get the UK-221 kit even if its a little more expensive. Since its a personal unit in my home, the cleaner appearance appeals a lot to me.

                  Thanks for the heads-up!

No, it is a option on both models. +3320i and +3350i.
Do not upgrade your device with this option! It works really bad. They have a lot of connection loss and in firmware implemented a device restart after 5 min connection loss.
My advice is to use any other extern solution than this uk-221.
